It’s hard to do, if I have to let Erik have a say!
Here are some preliminary ideas:
Beatrix Tara Rosemary, Petronel Leona Jean, Domino Valentine Elizabeth
Beatrix Elizabeth Jean, Petronel Leona Valentine, and Rosemary Tara Domino
Erik wants Domino as a first, I want Rosemary…middle names are family names. Valentine/Valentina for my mother, Leona for my grandmother, Elizabeth and Jean for my grandmother-in-law. Other honoring names I could use, Virginia for my mother-in-law, Catharine for my favorite aunt, Anne for my grandmother Leona, Delfina for my other grandmother, Elva for the same grandmother-in-law that Elizabeth and Jean honor (Yeah she’s that cool), and Abigail/Gail for another grandmother of mine named Gail. (Also Erik said he loves Nola now…it means New Orleans Louisiana, his beloved hometown)
Also here are some random combos I got him to say weren’t terrible, anything stand out to you? Any flipping or switching? (some of these are guilty pleasure names…)
Mary Inez
Tullia Anne
Opal Delfina
Ottilie Esmé
Wilhelmina November
Sunny Louisa
Sunny Marigold
Adah Rosalie
Inez Edmé (Any better mn suggestions for Inez (EYE-nez)?
Frances Daffodil
Susannah Marigold
Willa Esmé
Bonnie Susannah
Maud Eliza
Beatrix Nola
Henrietta Ruby
And for giggles, here are some random boy combos I made, though our boy names are pretty set in stone…(Our top three are probably Wynn Alexander Clint, Cosmo Eugene Thomas, and Augustin/Percival Victor Malcolm.) Alexander is for Erik and his father, grandfather, etc. Clint is for my deceased brother, Eugene is my grandfather’s and Erik’s grandfather’s middle name, Thomas and Victor is for my deceased father.
These combos are not nearly as exciting to me as the girl ones…maybe because I used a couple guilty pleasures for those!
Malcolm Ivan
Percival Linus
Thomas Augustin
Oskar Darcy
Oliver Ezra
William Nigel
Simon Laurence
Augustin Richard
Ivan Edmund
Blair Richard
Felix Darcy
Darcy Edward
Simon Magnus
Wynn Edward
Blair Simon
Magnus Elliot
Blair Nigel
Barney Thomas
Hamish Ragnar
So what do you think? Any great/horrible ones? Thanks for stopping by!

Here are some boy names I’ve been tossing around, nothing serious just combos I thought sounded nice…what do you think? Would you change them somehow else? I’ve thought about changing Thomas to either Tam or Tavish, and if Perry was a first name, it would be Percival…
Darcy Edward Thomas
Jasper Alexander Clint
Wynn Gabriel Linus
Cosmo Malcolm Perry
Magnus Richard Charles
Augustin Alasdair Bruce

Boy’s names I find hard to decide because I have so many favorites.
I suppose if I had to choose my favorites, my list would be:
- Darcy
- Jasper
- Wynn
- Augustin (though August might win over Augustin)
- Cosmo
- Malcolm
- Oscar
- Alfred
- Simon
- Magnus
- Richard
- Perry
- Hamish
- Barney
- Linus
Erik’s list would probably look like this:
- Wynn
- August
- Cosmo
- Malcolm
- Oscar
- Magnus
- Perry
- Gabriel
- Elliot
- Ezra
- Liam
- Bruce
- Basil
- Dorian
- Drake
If I was naming a boy myself, I probably would have to choose between Darcy, Jasper, or Simon, or maybe Richard…or Wynn. He doesn’t like Darcy, though I LOVE it! So as much as I love it, it’s probably out.
I’ll talk more about why I love these boy names later! Which ones of these do you like?

My mother saw my name list, and seriously asked if I was on drugs, lol. My taste does run eccentric I know that. I know it’s not most people cups of tea, but I’m ok with that. I honestly don’t think any of my favorite names would be considered child abuse.
These are my favorite names right now, some are family names, some are guilty pleasures, or middle name only, and some would only be nicknames, but haven’t decided on the best first name for them first!

My girls list is a lot shorter, and not all I don’t think I’d actually use, like Mathilda, it’s very popular right now, though I love it, and I adore Tilly. Same with Felix, Harvey, Caroline, and maybe Elizabeth. I know Elizabeth is extremely popular, but I just love it so much, I might be willing to overlook it!

This blog will mainly be used as my outlet for my baby name obsession. I live in Kansas, but our hometown is New Orleans. We are HUGE NFL New Orleans Saints fans.

I live with Erik, my partner and a dog and cat, whom I named myself. My maltese is Odin Kevin Xavier and my cat is Nova Richard Ryder (Just a note, I hate the name Ryder on a child, but Richard Ryder is Erik’s favorite super hero!). I may never get the chance to name a baby, which saddens me to no end. I get quite emotional when I think about it, as I was MADE to be a mama. So, while I’m obsessed with names, and could easily have 20 children and still have names that I’d like to use, all my name-nerdiness might just be an exercise in futility.
My name nerdiness started when I was about 4. I named all my dolls Susannah, Henrietta, and Cordelia. I made up names for all my dolls, toys, everything. My interest in names always stayed, but BOY! did my taste turn trendy…As much as I would LOVE to have a baby, I’m glad I didn’t get knocked up between the ages 16 through 21, as now I’d be having to live with a child named either Camryn or Maverick! BLECH!
I found a list of my favorite names I made at age 17, and they were:
Girls:
- Camryn
- Kenedi
- Emersyn
- Spencer
- Carsyn
- Tanner
- Emma (I still love this, just would never use)
- Cherub
- Cherokee
- Heaven
Boys:
- Maverick
- Asher (still nice, just a bit boring to me)
- Stetson
- Landon
- Sterling
- Thayer
- Grayson
- Lawson
- Rowdy
- Noah (nice, but ruined by a demon-child I once taught!)
How’s that for horrible???
Thankfully backing off the names (and I’d like to say the sauce as well, but I wasn’t on anything, just had a nasty case of the tryndee!!!), and also studying the naming styles of others on baby name websites, mostly Baby Names World, I rethought my style and realized I didn’t love any of the names I had chosen. I just loved the idea of being a rebel…and when I realized that I realized that a true rebel chooses names that aren’t popular, and my kind of tryndee names were very popular. Now using true classics, that is being a rebel!
That certainly is true too. I’m the ONLY one in my work[lace, out of my friends, and in my immediate family to love classic and quirky names. They choose their Baylee/Kaylee/Rylee/Kylee and Jayden/Kayden/Brayden and look at me like I’m going to commit child abuse when I say my favorite girl names are Beatrix, Henrietta, and Rosemary!
I guess I could look at it, if a tryndee hates it, I’ve done my job in choosing a good name!
